Colorful City – National Center for Autism

For the 2022 beneficiary of the Tbilisi Marathon – the "Colorful City" – the National Autism Center, HeidelbergCement built a cottage.

The entire amount raised from the 2022 registration fees was fully allocated to the construction of the cottage.

Dzegvi Shelter

In 2019, HeidelbergCement, as the organizer and main partner of TbilisiMarathon, continued its tradition of social responsibility.

HeidelbergCement, as per tradition, matched the doubled amount and fully donated it to the organization "American Friends of Georgia".

The financial support was directed toward the completion of the reconstruction of the Dzegvi Mixed-Type Shelter — a large-scale project launched in 2016. The goal of the project was not only to renovate the building, but also to create dignified living conditions, as well as rehabilitation and educational spaces.

HeidelbergCement’s support played a crucial role in transitioning the shelter to a new phase — providing a safe and inclusive environment for children without parental care, people with disabilities, the elderly, and the homeless to continue their lives with dignity.

Organization for Caring for Children with Special Needs “First Step”

The beneficiary of the 2018 charity half marathon was the organization "First Step," which has been supporting children with special needs and had over 20 years of experience at the time. The organization’s day center in Tbilisi, operating since 2002, was in urgent need of major renovations. The proceeds from the half marathon were directed toward this purpose, and, as tradition, HeidelbergCement doubled the amount, significantly contributing to the improvement of the center’s infrastructure and enabling it to serve more beneficiaries.

Social Enterprise for Persons with Disabilities in Kaspi “Tsnuli”

The non-profit organization "Kaspi Union of Persons with Disabilities" was founded on April 7, 2015. Its main social mission is the employment and resocialization of people with disabilities. The Union’s first program was implemented with the support of various international humanitarian organizations, through which 44 beneficiaries from over 30 villages in the Kaspi region received customized wheelchairs tailored to their needs.

Notably, American donor constructors were actively involved in the wheelchair distribution process. A one-year training program was launched to teach traditional local crafts, such as basket weaving and the creation of various interior items.

In 2017, HeidelbergCement once again doubled the amount raised from TbilisiMarathon registrations and allocated it to the setup and equipment of two production workshops. Around 20 people with disabilities were employed in the pressure and metal construction projects.

Children’s Hospice “Tsitsinatela”

In 2016, the amount raised from "TbilisiMarathon" registrations totaled 23,000 GEL. This amount was doubled by HeidelbergCement to 46,000 GEL and was allocated to the construction of the first children's hospice in Georgia, located in Tbilisi.

Day Center for Persons with Disabilities in Rustavi

In 2015, the amount raised from "TbilisiMarathon" registrations was doubled by HeidelbergCement, resulting in a total of 48,060 GEL, which was used for the expansion and improvement of a rehabilitation center for people with disabilities in the city of Rustavi.

Bediani Children’s Center

The traditionally doubled amount of 31,360 GEL raised from registration for the third half marathon was allocated to the reconstruction of the Bediani Children's Center.
